Licensing FAQ

Quick answers to common questions about using EposScore music in your projects.

Can I use the music on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Vimeo?

Yes – online platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Vimeo and similar services are covered as long as your use matches the scope of the licence tier you pick at checkout (Personal, Commercial or Enterprise).

Many EposScore titles are also released via labels and distributors and may be tracked by Content ID or similar fingerprinting systems. This means that automated claims or monetisation flags can appear even for properly licensed uses. A claim does not automatically mean your use is unlicensed.

If you receive a claim, dispute it via the platform using your licence details (invoice / licence PDF, cue title, project link). If you need help, contact support@eposscore.com with the claim ID, link to your video and your licence / transaction number, and we will assist where we control the relevant rights.

How do the Personal, Commercial and Enterprise tiers differ?

The tier you choose defines the scope of your licence (who is using the music, where it lives, and how big the campaign is). In short:

  • Personal – for individuals, students and small independent creators. Online use only (portfolio, festival submissions, non-sponsored YouTube / social channels), no paid media campaigns, no TV/OTT/theatrical release.
  • Commercial – for professional / business projects: branded web and social content, paid social with moderate reach, corporate films and presentations, in-app use and similar. May include limited broadcast/OTT use where specifically described in the licence.
  • Enterprise – for high-reach or complex use: national/international ad campaigns, major broadcast/OTT, theatrical releases, multi-title deals or anything that goes beyond the other tiers. Usually negotiated individually.

The licence document and checkout description are always the decisive reference. If your use case is unusual or high-profile, email us before licensing and we'll help you choose the right tier.

What are the broadcast limits?

Broadcast scope depends on the tier and on what is written in your licence document. As a simplified guide:

  • Personal: no linear TV broadcast, OTT platform release or theatrical release.
  • Commercial: online and presentation use by businesses and organisations, plus limited broadcast/OTT where explicitly stated.
  • Enterprise: designed for broad or premium broadcast/OTT and large campaigns, normally on a custom quote.

If you are unsure whether your channel, broadcaster or campaign falls within a standard tier, contact us before airing.

Is the licence exclusive? What if the track is already on Spotify, Apple Music, etc.?

EposScore licences are non-exclusive. The same work can be licensed to multiple clients and may also be released on streaming platforms or through labels and distributors.

Your licence gives you the synchronisation and usage rights described in the licence document for your specific project. It does not give you ownership of the recording or composition, nor exclusive monetisation rights on platforms such as YouTube.

Because some tracks are managed via Content ID or similar systems, your licensed use might trigger claims or monetisation assignments. These can usually be resolved by providing your licence proof; where we control the relevant rights we'll help clarify or whitelist as appropriate.

Can I sublicense, share, or resell the music?
Licences are non-transferable and non-sublicensable. Delivery is allowed only as part of your finished production (film, episode, game build, campaign asset, etc.). Standalone distribution (sample packs, templates, sound libraries) or offering the music as part of a competing library is not permitted unless explicitly agreed in writing.
Can I edit, cut, or loop the track?
Yes—editing for timing (cut/loop/fade) to fit picture is allowed. If “stems,” “cutdowns,” or “alt mixes” are available, you’ll see them on the item page and in your downloads after purchase. Structural reworks that turn the track into a new standalone piece or sample library are not covered by standard licences.
Is the license worldwide and perpetual?

Licenses are non-exclusive and are generally worldwide and perpetual for the licensed end-product (the specific film, episode, game, ad, etc.) unless the licence document specifies narrower territories or terms.

If you need separate rights for sequels, spin-offs, alternate cuts, trailers or additional versions, please check the licence text or contact us to extend or upgrade coverage.

What currency will I be charged in? How does conversion work?

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, EposScore prices are shown and charged in US dollars (USD). Stripe processes the payment on our behalf.

If your card or account is in another currency (for example EUR), your bank or payment provider handles the conversion to your local currency at its own exchange rate and may charge fees. We do not control those rates or fees, so the figure on your statement may differ slightly from any indicative conversion you see during checkout.

Where do I get my invoice and license PDF?
After successful checkout you’ll see a confirmation page with download links. We also email your invoice/license PDF. Can’t find it? Check spam and then contact support@eposscore.com.
Need enterprise or multi-title coverage?
Email info@eposscore.com with a brief (project type, territories, term, platforms, budget) and we’ll tailor a license. For high-profile campaigns or projects involving multiple titles, we usually recommend a custom agreement so that rights are crystal clear for all parties.
