Depending on billing country and purchase purpose, the sale is made directly by EPIMELION MUSIC e.U. or through Link (Stripe) as merchant of record. The payment route is shown before proceeding to payment. For sales through Link, Link handles applicable indirect taxes and issues the purchase receipt; EPIMELION MUSIC e.U. remains the licensor. Our small-business exemption does not apply to Link’s resale.

Licensing V2 - Contract scope

The project, offer and deliverables recorded at purchase govern. Personal, Commercial and Media are worldwide, non-exclusive and perpetual for one named end project. Expressly identified versions of the same project are included; other projects, entire channels or unlimited episodes are not.

Commercial - base price EUR 199

Permitted: Monetized creator content, online video and YouTube; Podcasts; Client work and corporate videos; Company websites and organic corporate social media; Institutional content, presentations and in-house use

Excluded: Paid advertising, paid promotion and campaigns; Film/TV broadcast and theatrical use; Games and apps; Standalone redistribution or sale of the music

Permitted: Film, TV and theatrical use; Games and apps; Trailers, advertising and paid campaigns

Excluded: Exclusivity; Unrelated projects, entire series or channels; Standalone redistribution or sale of the music

One named end project, including the expressly identified versions of that same project. No blanket channel, series, episode or unrelated-project licence. For client work, the named end client may use the identified project within the agreed scope; the music itself may not be sublicensed.

Only synchronization/master-use rights controlled by EPIMELION are granted. Composition, edition or arrangement rights are included only where expressly identified and controlled for the recording. A public-domain composition does not make the recording public domain.

Collectively administered rights and remuneration arising from exploitation, including performance, broadcast, mechanical, online and neighboring rights, are not universally waived or included. Required permissions or reporting remain with the responsible user, broadcaster or platform as applicable. No separate LSG surcharge.

The licence term is independent of download-link or quote validity. Different terms and exclusivity require a separate agreement. Collections require individually approved prices and a recorded title list. Stems and additional versions are included only where expressly listed as deliverables.

Offers are displayed in EUR. For Managed Payments, applicable taxes are added to the base price; the total is shown in Stripe Checkout before payment. Track-specific price adjustments may apply; the displayed final price and separate tax treatment govern. EPIMELION MUSIC e.U. currently applies the Austrian small-business scheme. The tax treatment recorded in your order documents the policy applied when the contract was concluded.

For client work, the identified end client may use the agreed project. Transferring or supplying the music for other productions is not included. Professional use by a non-profit organization does not qualify as Personal merely because of its non-profit status.

1. Scope

EposScore is a licensing platform operated by EPIMELION MUSIC e.U. for private and business customers. The contract concerns usage rights in recordings for the agreed project and licence scope. Audio files supplied with a licence serve that use; EposScore does not offer a separate consumer music-download purchase for listening only.

EposScore provides a curated catalogue of music recordings intended for licensing in film, advertising, podcasts, online content, games, theatre and other media. Licences are granted per track or per collection and are governed by these Terms of Use, the selected licence model (e.g. Personal, Commercial, Media) and the licence document issued after purchase.

2. Licences

When you purchase a licence, you obtain a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the relevant recording within the scope of the chosen licence model and the licence document. Rights in a composition or arrangement are included only if expressly stated and controlled by the licensor. Unless otherwise stated, rights are granted for the territory worldwide and for the duration perpetual, limited to the specified end product.

2.2 Public-domain repertoire (classical works)

Some tracks in our catalog may be based on classical works that are commonly treated as public domain. Public-domain status can vary by territory and may depend on the specific source edition or arrangement.

Your EposScore licence covers the sound recording (master) and the usage permissions of the recording under the selected licence tier.

We do not grant rights in third-party sheet-music editions, scores, or other underlying materials that are not owned by EposScore.

For broad multi-territory distribution or higher-risk contexts (e.g., broadcast, theatrical release, major platform campaigns), you are responsible for confirming public-domain status and any edition-related rights in the relevant territories.

On request, we can provide documentation about the source edition used for a recording, where available.

3. Restrictions

No redistribution, resale or sub-licensing of the music as standalone audio or as part of a competing music library.

No use in defamatory, hateful or unlawful content.

No use to train machine learning models unless explicitly permitted in writing.

4. Licence Activation and Included Files

After successful payment, we provide the contract confirmation and its attachments by email. After confirmation of receipt, functional download links are released and the agreed usage rights begin within the selected licence scope. Statutory withdrawal rights are addressed separately in section 5. Some deliverables may be provided via time-limited links for security. Please download and store your purchased deliverables promptly.

5. Consumer Status and Right of Withdrawal

Consumer status depends on the actual purpose of the purchase, not the licence tier or a company name alone. Consumers generally have a statutory right to withdraw within 14 days of concluding the contract. Business purchases do not carry this statutory consumer withdrawal right.

The included audio files are supplied as digital content. A consumer withdrawal right expires at the start of provision only after express prior consent to performance within the withdrawal period, acknowledgement of the loss of the right, and provision of the complete contract confirmation on a durable medium. We begin provision by releasing functional download links after confirmation of receipt of the contractual documents. The licence begins at that release. Payment alone does not remove consumer rights. Checkout declarations are separate from acceptance of the Terms of Use.

You may exercise an existing withdrawal right without giving a reason by sending a clear statement to EPIMELION MUSIC e.U., Erzherzog Rainer-Ring 6, 2500 Baden, Austria, or support@eposscore.com. Sending the statement before the deadline is sufficient. Please identify the contract; an order or licence reference is helpful. A valid statutory withdrawal does not depend on our discretionary approval.

6. Prices, Currency and Payment

New V2 offers are displayed and charged in EUR. The final price and separately recorded tax treatment of the order apply. Payments are processed via Stripe. Payment confirmation does not change the agreed price or tax treatment.

7. Refunds and Support

If the statutory withdrawal right has validly expired, there is no further statutory cooling-off cancellation on that basis. Mandatory rights concerning defects, missing agreed rights or other failures of performance remain unaffected and are not treated as goodwill requests.

Separately, we may agree a voluntary cancellation and refund for a substantiated reason, such as a duplicate purchase or selection of the wrong licence. Contact support@eposscore.com with the order reference, the reason and whether the music has already been used or published. Such requests are assessed individually; there is no general voluntary money-back guarantee. For a wrong licence, we may agree a licence exchange and settlement of any price difference. These voluntary options leave statutory withdrawal and warranty rights unaffected.

A valid statutory withdrawal is refunded within the applicable statutory deadline, generally within 14 days after receipt of the withdrawal, using the original payment method unless another method is expressly agreed without additional charges.

When a licence contract is validly unwound, the affected usage rights end. Stop further use and delete supplied audio copies unless retention is legally required. For a production already published, contact us promptly to clarify the necessary removal or replacement of the music and any rights that independently remain in force. For a voluntary cancellation, the agreed terms determine its effect. These steps are not preconditions for exercising a statutory withdrawal right. Licence, order and accounting records may be retained where necessary to document the transaction and its reversal.

8. Intellectual Property

Music, recordings, artwork and site content are protected by copyright and related rights to the extent provided by applicable law. Licensing grants limited usage rights as described; no ownership is transferred.

9. Accounts, Security and Record Keeping

You are responsible for maintaining access to your purchase confirmation emails and licence documents. Keep your download links and licence PDFs for your records.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EposScore is not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, or claims arising from misuse of the content. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the relevant licence. These limitations do not apply to intentional or grossly negligent conduct, personal injury or liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

Austrian law applies without depriving consumers of mandatory protection in their country of habitual residence. For business customers, the court with subject-matter jurisdiction in Wiener Neustadt is agreed where legally permissible. Statutory jurisdiction rules apply to consumers.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version applicable to your purchase is the one in effect at the time of checkout.

14. Artwork, Image Credits and AI-generated Media

The “AI artwork” label identifies visual artwork generated or edited using artificial intelligence. It concerns the visuals only, not the creation of the music. The label is displayed on the website and is not embedded in downloaded files. A music licence does not include rights to the artwork.

Artwork, cover images and other visual elements on this website may be generated or edited, in whole or in part, using artificial intelligence. This notice concerns visual media and does not make any statement about how the music recordings offered for licensing were created.

Your music licence does not include rights to use the website's artwork, images, logos or branding unless expressly agreed in writing. Whether AI-generated visual content is protected by copyright depends on the applicable law and the human creative contribution. This general notice does not replace any legally required labelling of individual content. Applicable third-party rights and mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.
